Dear ARRL Section Emergency Coordinators,

As you will read in the following statement (dated July 5), a General
Communications Emergency Declaration has been issued by the FCC in support
of the emergency communication efforts related to the response to floods
in Texas.

This declaration was first posted on the ARRL Web yesterday (Friday, July 5)
afternoon:
http://www.arrl.org/. I am also contacting the ARRL Section Managers with
this information. Thank you.

73,

Steve Ewald, WV1X
