UNR RADIO PACK MEETING

Rockets and radios will be the topic of the next UNR Radio Pack Meeting
Tuesday, February 19 at 7:00 PM at KNPB Channel 5 Community Room, 1670 N.
Virginia St on the campus of UNR.

Guest speaker will be Ed Hackett W7EDH an analytical chemist with DRI
currently working on air quality studies.

Ed Hacket has an extensive background in high power rocketry. The ARLISS
(A Rocket Launch for International Student Satellites) has flown several
missions with Ed at the helm.

Two short videos covering JP Aerospace and last years ARLISS launch in the
Black Rock desert will be shown.

An ARLISS rocket, a motor casing used for the launch, some propellant for
one of the JP Aerospace motors will be on display during the talk.

This interesting program will tie in the importance and uses of amateur
radio in rocketry telemetry.
