...Wind Advisory this afternoon for the eastern Sierra...
strong west winds will continue this afternoon...especially near
canyon openings. West winds of 30-40 mph with local gusts to 55 mph
are likely. Even stronger winds can be expected at higher
elevations. Persons traveling along Highway 395 from Reno to
Bridgeport...Mono Lake and Mammoth Lakes...should prepare for very
strong Crosswinds. High profile vehicles will be particularly
susceptible to these strong winds.
