Information to those interested: The Antarctic transport flights have been
traversing between New Zealand and Antarctica quite extensively of late. For
those with a view of the South Pacific, these flights can be heard in
transit
almost daily on 261.5 MHz as can the ground stations at Christchurch and
McMurdo.  I'm not sure which satellite.  It might be FLTSATCOM 4 at 172E or
one of the
UFOs (4 or 8) between 171E and 178W. As of 7 February they were up to ICE 34
on the return leg.
