...High wind watch for Saturday...

South to southwest winds 20 to 35 mph with local gusts to 50 mph
will continue overnight. Wind gusts to 80 mph can be expected over
ridgetops in the Sierra.

Winds may be even stronger on Saturday ahead of an approaching cold
front. Wind speeds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 mph are
possible...with gusts over 100 mph possible along the Sierra crest.
Through the day. Winds will decrease Saturday evening after the cold
front moves through.

Motorists should be prepared for strong winds on Saturday. Slow down
when sudden gusts are encountered. Residents should protect property
from the possible high winds. Tie down loose objects.
