High Wind Advisory

...High wind watch for Saturday...

Strong winds from an approaching Pacific storm are expected today.
South to southwest winds will increase to 20 to 35 mph with gusts to
50 mph late this morning and persist through the afternoon.

The Pacific storm will push a cold front though eastern California
and western Nevada by Saturday evening.  South to southwest winds
will increase on Saturday morning ahead of the cold front.  Winds
speeds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts in excess of 50 mph are possible.

Wind sensitive activities...and travel in high profile vehicles will
become hazardous across northwest Nevada and northeastern California
this afternoon and Saturday.

Tie down loose objects and stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio...media
outlets and on the web at www.Wrh.NOAA.Gov/Reno for further
statements possible high wind warnings from the National Weather
Service.
