...Strong winds possible by early Friday in eastern California and
western Nevada with heavy snow possible in the Sierra...

Another winter storm is expected to reach the west coast by Thursday
night and move into California by Friday. As this storm
approaches...strong south winds will be possible by late Thursday
night and Friday across eastern California and western Nevada.

Snow levels are expected to initially be higher compared to recent
storms with rain possible above lake level on Friday. By Friday
afternoon and evening...snow levels will drop quickly to most valley
floors. Heavy snowfall will be possible in the higher elevations of
the Sierra on Friday and into the Lake Tahoe basin and the higher
valleys of Mono County for Friday night and Saturday.
