High Wind Advisory

...High wind watch for Saturday...

A vigorous Pacific storm system will move into the Sierra on
Saturday...generating strong winds over the greater Lake Tahoe
area...Mono County and western Nevada.  Southwest winds of 40 to 50
mph with damaging gusts to 60 mph are possible over the lower
elevations.  Sustained winds over ridge tops are expected to exceed
50 mph with gusts nearing 80 mph.

Travel in high profile vehicles and other wind sensitive activities
will become difficult in the northern Sierra on Friday and Saturday.
Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio and other local media outlets for
further statements from the National Weather Service.
