I am tentatively planning on conducting a free three-hour course on the
ABCs of Digital Electronics with potential follow-on courses at a later date.

I have made a phone call reserving the meeting room at the North Valley
Branch of the Washoe County Library for the morning of Saturday, January
4th, 2003. I will have the reservation confirmed in writing on Friday,
December 6th. I plan to start the class at 9:00 a.m.

If you want to attend, it is located at the right side of the North-Valley
Shopping Center, to the right of Raleys and off the Golden Valley exit of
Highway 395.

The room will hold about 30 people and I will pin down that total number on
Friday. Please spread the word around about this free course and I will be
pleased to receive an e-mail from everyone that is interested. My email
address is in the heading, but repeated here, [email protected]. For
those that respond, I will send email verification of the room, date and time.

As some of you know, I am writing a fairly comprehensive course manual on
this subject and ARRL is showing interest in the possibility of making it
an ARRL Publication and I know would be interested in seeing the outcome of
my offer to conduct a few free classes for radio clubs.

I would be pleased to hold follow-on, more detailed classes for anyone
interested. This is a non-profit thing and I am doing it because I do my
best writing of course materials when I have a chance to use the first
draft. So, if you don't mind being a "course beta tester," please plan to
attend.

I look forward to hearing from each of you that might be interested.
