It was in no way a competitive score. The top stations made 3 times as many contacts. My goal was to make 500 contacts and to RUN'EM as much as possible. I acheived my goal and indeed over 95% of the contacts were made in the "run" mode. I should have done more "S&P" to improve multiplier score but that was not my intent when I started. I could have put in another hour and a half but I cannot go for 10 straight hours without a rest! I sure could have used a nice yagi or a hex beam on 20 but so far none are in the works here at the moment! I did my best to design a QSL card with the limited tools that e-qsl provides and have uploaded ADIF files of my operations as W4MYA. I am not the trustee of the call sign so cannot to do the same for LOTW. If we can ever meet again I hope the call trustee (WU4G) will consider the possibility of uploading W4MYA contacts to LOTW and that the club will authoirize the design and printing of a better QSL card. I have no program that I am familiar enough with to design a really good card myself. Unfortunatly we do not have access to Bob's computer logs so any contacts he made after his last update to LOTW are lost. Too Bad! Here's what it says when clicking "about us" WARCA (World Amateur Radio Contesting Association) is an international non-profit organization headquartered in Brunnen, Switzerland. It was organized by a group of HF contest aficionados, who are willing to promote amateur radio contesting, especially among the youth. WARCA was founded in 2019 by Gene (W3UA), Matthias (HB9JCI) and Marco (HB9OCR). Countless other contesters and computer experts are currently working on multiple projects, among them are Eugene (R4AS), Victor (VA2WA), Igor (RA3AUU), and others, some from WARCA Top 50, some working toward getting into Top 5000? We are open to cooperation with all contesting enthusiasts. If you are willing to help us to shape the future of amateur radio contesting, please join us. We are looking for experts in programming, PR, marketing and, of course, contesting. If u access the site, just click on "sign in" and u will be in.There's a search box to look for calls. While navigating, if screen changes from white to gray, just hit esc. For instance, I clicked on W4MYA's call and it lists all the contests he entered. Somehow while doing this, the screen went from white to gray and I could not navigate further, hitting esc brings it back. This is not a CVCC sanctioned event, but it is a pretty interesting contest. Europe works the rest of the world and vice versa. The exchange is serial number. The interesting wrinkle is that it incorporates what is know as a QTC !! N1MM+ pretty much automates the QTC process, but you do not have to give out QTCs if you don't want to. QTC's are always sent to the EUROPEAN station, never vice versa. The EU station will ask you for QTC's, if you don't want to give any, just send NIL. If you do want to send QTC's, you can learn about that at https://n1mmwp.hamdocs.com/manual-supported/contests-setup/setup-hf-contests/#waedc-contest-cw Just go to that site and scroll down a few lines and it will explain the process from the point of view of the European station and then from your perspective. Anyway, I plan a casual effort, between other chores. Wish we could all eat together but just can't go there. Instead let's have a Zoom meeting. Your Board meeting earlier this week and we have a new club activity for members to announce that we hope you will find fun, challenging, and worth participating in. This is for everyone! If you can get on the air, you can participate. I'll say this much about it: It doesn't matter what mode you use, pick whatever you prefer, what antennas, rig, amp or not. Won't matter if you S&P or Run. How many contacts you make doesn't matter either. You pick your own time to participate. Submitting your information is easy. Prizes are gift cards to the top 3: $50, $25, $10. How to Zoom if you never have before. What you need: If you want to see video and the presentation that will be shared, you need a smart device with a least a microphone. If you want everyone else to see your smiling face, then the device needs a camera as well. You can use a smartphone, a tablet, a laptop or a desktop computer. However most desktop computers do not come with a mic or a camera, so in that case you would have had to purchase those separately to add. You also need to make sure you have a solid internet connection. If all you want to do is hear the audio and talk back with us, then you can just dial in with any phone. What to do: To connect with a smart device, use the link below to open Zoom. If it asks for the passcode, that is included below. Join Zoom Meeting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81701714574?pwd=amFRbmxIQ1VFZk0vb21ha2QvK0VjUT09 Meeting ID: 817 0171 4574 Passcode: 764199 If you just want to dial in with a phone, dial using any of the numbers below and enter the Meeting ID and passcode when prompted: +1 312 626 6799 +1 929 436 2866 Meeting ID: 817 0171 4574 Passcode: 764199 If you have problems, call me on my cellphone and maybe I can quickly get you going in the right direction. 804-651-3504 73 Ronnie WU4G From kg4w at comcast.net Sun Aug 30 09:14:13 2020 From: kg4w at comcast.net (Ed Hughes) Date: Sun, 30 Aug 2020 09:14:13 -0400 Subject: [CVCC] KG4W WWDIGI TEST Message-ID: <9ebf1c3b-9ce4-74ff-d3d1-c6dc85c3a603@comcast.net> WWDIGI Summary Sheet BND?? ??? ???
