If you worked W4MYA when I was operating in the last year or so and if you put your logs on E-Qsl there is an e-card waiting for you.  I did my best to design a QSL card with the limited tools that e-qsl provides and have uploaded ADIF files of my operations as W4MYA.  I am not the trustee of the call sign so cannot  to do the same for LOTW.  If we can ever meet again I hope the call trustee (WU4G) will consider the possibility of uploading W4MYA contacts to LOTW and that the club will authoirize the design and printing of a better QSL card.  I have no program that I am familiar enough with to design a really good card myself.

Unfortunatly we do not have access to Bob's computer logs so any contacts he made after his last update to LOTW are lost.  Too Bad!  But I thought it would be good to make contacts by CVCC members using W4MYA made after his passing available.

While navigating, if screen changes from white to gray, just hit esc.

Ok guys & gals, if you get bored at anytime during the next 48 hrs
starting at 0000z this evening you may want to jump into the WAE CW event.
This is not a CVCC sanctioned event, but it is a pretty interesting contest.
Europe works the rest of the world and vice versa. The exchange is 
serial number.
The interesting wrinkle is that it incorporates what is know as a QTC !!
N1MM+ pretty much automates the QTC process, but you do not have to give
out QTCs if you don't want to. QTC's are always sent to the EUROPEAN 
station,
never vice versa. The EU station will ask you for QTC's, if you don't 
want to give any,
just send NIL. If you do want to send QTC's, you can learn about that at

Just go to that site and scroll down a few lines and it will explain the 
process
from the point of view of the European station and then from your

We came in 2nd place this year!? The Iowa group beat us with 4 entries butr one or which was multi-op N0NI with 4,478,760 (7 ops).We had 10 single op scores.? Third place was 1.7 million behind us.? I'd say we did pretty well with what we had!??

The local DX spotting node will go silent Saturday August 15, 2020 at noon,
since there is nil support by logins local or otherwise I see no reason to
maintain the system.  If anyone wants to setup their own node I will give
you the pc, you will have to get a license change for the CC Cluster
software.  The average login for this node is five or less and often
less..we had a nice run with the local node but, it seems it no longer
matters.  For local DX spotting I recommend Sejo's node; n3ua.hopto.org port
7373, you will have to set the filter to: dx filter not skimmer to remove
that feed.  W3LPL also at dxc.w3lpl.net port 23 for no skimmer spots.  Mark
N2QT has W4EM in Forest, VA and looks like K3NC is back up and running in
Fredericksburg.. Go to  <https://dxcluster.info/telnet/>

You did good!  I was only able to work 60 stations.  20 meters was coverewd with my local noise almost all day so I only worked 19 stations there (you can't work them if you can't hear them!)

Did a casual (cw only) effort in the Ohio qso party.
All qsos were on 40/80/160, could not copy 8 land
on 20. My only other entry was in 2014.

112 qsos 43 mults = score? 9,632 points in 2020
119 qsos 65 mults = score 12,285 points in 2014 3rd in non Ohio category

The puckster W4PM was heard in this one too

Cliff KC0SDV hand crafts these items.  I received my W4PM call sign cutout today.  It is very well done and  is 2.75 inches or 7 cm high including the base.  I have no financial connection with Cliff.  I just think it's a nice product well worth the nominal price in which my friends might have an interest.

It's time to get together for a meeting.  Wish we could all eat together but
just can't go there.  Instead let's have a Zoom meeting.

Your Board meeting earlier this week and we have a new club activity for
members to announce that we hope you will find fun, challenging, and worth
participating in.  This is for everyone!  If you can get on the air, you can
participate.  I'll say this much about it:

It doesn't matter what mode you use, pick whatever you prefer, what
antennas, rig, amp or not.  Won't matter if you S&P or Run.  How many
contacts you make doesn't matter either. You pick your own time to
participate.  Submitting  your information is easy.  Prizes are gift cards
to the top 3: $50, $25, $10.

 

 

How to Zoom if you never have before.

 

What you need:

If you want to see video and the presentation that will be shared, you need
a smart device with a least a microphone.  If you want everyone else to see
your smiling face, then the device needs a camera as well.

You can use a smartphone, a tablet, a laptop or a desktop computer.  However
most desktop computers do not come with a mic or a camera, so in that case
you would have had to purchase those separately to add.  You also need to
make sure you have a solid internet connection.

If all you want to do is hear the audio and talk back with us, then you can
just dial in with any phone.

I was all set to work this contest. Had checked out N1MM+ integrated with
WSJT-X and the FTDX101D. But it was not to be. Dental emergency and
Computer issues prevented participation
