Comments regarding Ronnie's "funniest moment" story.
There were many times during the contest when I said
"I wish I had not changed my name to DUDE". Many requests for repeats.
I too had many long pauses waiting for OM to confirm my report. He was
fumbling (if he types as badly as I do) trying to change my (pre-posted)
name of ED to DUDE. I made a change which helped with their copying of
DUDE ie- if you place a tilde ~ between the letters, N1MM+ places a
pause between the letters ie D~U~D~E. Of course, everybody will now
have my name preposted as DUDE !

Amazing the (apparent) typing speed of some of these ops, Many OMs were
cqing at at 40wpm, and the instant I sent DUDE VA, they would send
"TU CQ". As I've said many times, wish I could look at the screen
while typing, as opposed to looking at the keyboard !
