I almost messed up with off time.  I ate supper and wound up coming back 2
minutes early (29 minutes) so it didn't count.  I had a 2 hours late start
due to some other issues and just sat down and started; log showed 119
minutes, one shy of 2 hours.  Luckily I quit at 12:29 so that was 31 minutes
for a total of 2:30. One to two minutes earlier and I would have been in
violation with only 119 min I suppose.  There were numerous other
interruptions but none were a full 30 minutes.  Got to remember to watch
that closer next time.

 

Funniest moment in contest:

Wish I had written this guy's call down at the time so I could look him up
and send him a note.  Hopefully we will figure it out if he read the
results.

 

KG4W and I both happened to call this guy at the same time.  W got through
first (naturally) and gave him his DUDE VA. I immediately followed with my
DUDE VA and there was a long pause.  Finally a ?.  I sent again, another
long pause and then a slow NAME? Two DUDES from VA right behind each other;
we messed his mind up.  Bet he was thinking a SLIM was playing with him.  I
hit my DUDE x2 button and he sent yet again NAME NAME?  Finally he took it
the third time, I guess as he sent TU and went on.

 

I found a lot of people stumbling over DUDE.  There would be a pause, some
would say TU eventually, I guess they would finally figure out in there head
what they actually heard, or they were correcting their typo (DUKE maybe?).
If the pause when too long, I poised my finger over my DUDE button as I know
the inevitable NAME was coming.   I did get a few TNX DUDE.
