Thanks for the replies.  It appears the FTDI chipset is the answer.  I found one on Amazon.com for $11.  It will arrive Friday.  If it doesn't work I'm not out too much!

A year or so ago a nearby lightning strike took out the serial port in my computer.  The USB ports are all ok but my Ten Tec Omni VII has only a serial port so I cannot connect it to my computer.  I have an old Belkin F5U409 adapter but it will not work with Windows 10.  That was confirmed today in an online chat with Belkin.


Can someone point me to an adapter that would work for me?
