VAQP 2012  - Central Virginia Contest Club						

Here's what I have so far.  I've also put the 2011 scores in the table for comparison.  I think propagation was down from 2011 but even so we did not have very good club participation this year.  While we are a contest club in name it appears we are becoming a social club in actual fact.  Perhaps I'm being too harsh.  Indeed we are all getting older and maybe not as excited about radio contests as we once were.  We need to somehow seek out younger members, get them interested in contesting or the future of this club in indeed in doubt.

The high points of this year was the outstanding efforts by the multi's hosted by W4MYA and W4HZ.  While Bob's points were down from last year, remember so were his BIG antennas! All those points this year came via wire antennas and hot ops.  The W4HZ effort blew away their 2011 results and his team of operators did a fine job of keeping the station humming the entire 24 hours.  It's too bad that with the group of fine operators and 3 or 4 potential multi op stations that we did not take advantage of our resources better.

Hopefully the formatting of the table below will not bee too screwed up by the email system.  I was going to attach a spreadsheet file but remembered we can't use attachments in this reflector.
