Here's an e-mail I received from Joe, AA1GW, who lives in Sandston. He has this Titan for sale. He's also interested in contesting and I invited him to our meetings.
Jonathan - want to see if he's like to play contest at your QTH for ARRL DX SSB? Maybe we could test out his Titan for him? :-)
GEORGE,
Please put this in the news letter under items for sale. Also add Joe to our News Letter Mailing list.
Thanks!
Puck W4PM

Subject: Ten-Tec 425 For Sale / AA1GW Sandston, VA
Hi, Puck
Nice meeting you on the phone today!
I've posted images of the Ten-Tec Titan 425 I have for sale on Google Plus. Please see

I did a bit of comparative price searching, and I've decided to set the initial asking price at $1,800.
The amp hasn't been on line for about 8 years. I'm not set up for 220V in my present shack, so I've decided to sell.
It was working perfectly when last used. It's been stored in a climate controlled location.
I'm hoping to find a local buyer who is equipped with 220V so we can get together, set it up and put it through its paces prior to the sale.
I don't have the original boxes. I spoke to the folks at Ten-Tec, and these are available for about $80. I'd really prefer not to ship it, particularly without testing it first.
If it works as expected (and I sincerely believe that it will), I'd rate this unit on the very high end of "Very Good Condition", just a sliver below "Excellent Condition" on the CCA grading scale (http://collinsradio.org/information/CCA_Grading_Standards.aspx). This is mainly due to some minor paint chips and light scratches on the cabinet of the remote power supply (see photo 35 of 35) and another minor scratch on the top of the desk unit (see foreground edge in photo 27 of 35).
The serial number is 425-00853.
If anyone's interested, have them give me a call (anytime between about 8 AM and 8 PM daily) and I'll be glad to provide additional information and/or set up a time when I can visit their shack.
I can also make arrangements to bring it by the March CVCC meeting for closer inspection.
73,
Joe Bottiglieri, AA1GW
