Hey guys,
A funny thing happened tonight. As you may or may not know I am a phone op.
I have made 1 cw contact in the last 20 years. So I decide to break out my
old Nye-Viking straight key from my novice days (circa 1978) for SKN. After
cleaning it up and adjusting it back to a comfortable set up, I sent a quick
CQ into the dummy load. 3x3 just like my training tape said. It wasn't until
after I was finished sending that I realized that without thinking I had
sent my novice call which I haven't had since around 1985. I guess I hadn't
forgotten that much after all. Maybe I will make CW my New Years resolution!
