Here's my results in the SS CW contest this weekend. I worked N3UA, W4MYA, KG4W, and K2WK. I heard K4OSO at the beginning of the contest on 15m but never worked him. I may have heard Kyle in there too but I can't remember and I didn't work him. I heard no other CVCC members. Did anyone else play in this one? My logs have been submitted to ARRL for PVRC. The deadline for log submission is 2009-11-24 03:00:00 UTC. If you have a log to send in make sure you don't miss the deadline.
Please send me information on how you did. Just total QSO's, total sections worked, and claimed score will be sufficient. I'd like to put the info in the next News Letter.
Remember the SSB version of SS will be on the third full weekend in November (November 21-23, 2009) from
2100 UTC Saturday until 0300 UTC Monday. Anyone interested in hosting a Muli-Single for SS SSB? It's starting to get pretty tough to spend 24 hours in the chair over a weekend. With a Multi-single or two we old folks could catch a break, have some fun and have a nice score for the PVRC club effort. I'm going to do a few hours on Sunday from my station but I'd be agreeable to helping out on Saturday evening/night at a multi-single effort.

I met my goal of getting a sweep and beating my last year's score. While my
score is probably about middle of the pack it's the best I've ever done so I
was pleased. I was pretty confident about the sweep this year when I worked
VE8EV on 15 in the first hours of the contest. I usually miss that one. VO1MP
called me on 80 so another hard one was out of the way and N0UD gave me ND for
number 80 at 1046Z Sunday morning.
Thanks for all the Q's. I'll see you in SS SSB but only for a limited time.
SSB just isn't my thing but I'll try to get a few points for the club.

Puck
Just for grins I looked through the log for my least worked sections. Your mileage may vary depending on which bands were best for you. I mainly used 80 and 40 because my wire works better there. I never even listened to 10 and figured 160 would take away from my time on 80.
