[CVCC] Rosalie's update following oncology visit of 1/30/08

Results not as good as we had hoped.  Marginal zone lymphoma cells were 
found in the bone marrow which is what the doctor expected.  It 
automatically places her in Stage IV.  Further testing on thyroid needs to 
be done.  Other areas of the body are affected, but likely no treatment will 
be initiated at this time.  In 3 months another PET scan will be done to 
give indication of change.  If necessary, a specific monoclonal drug can be 
used to surpress cell growth. This drug is very effective in controlling the 
disease however there is no cure.  This needs to be treated as a chronic 
disease.
