Subject: PJ2T Ops Sought for CQWW CW
Bon Dia Gents!
The time has come once again to attempt to drag some CW good
CW operators away from their homes for Thanksgiving week, sit
down with them in front of some radios, and run up a CQWW CW
score at PJ2T!
Thanksgiving is Thursday November 27 this year, and CQWW CW is
November 29-30.
For those you you who need to convince "She Who Must Be Obeyed", the
good news as always is that the sun will be shining, the water will be blue,
and the reef will be teeming with fish: a perfect XYL-approved place in
which to prepare for Winter.
The station at Signal Point is in better condition than ever, with all the
antennas rebuilt and sealed against the environment. We are in the process
of installing a tribander (fed with 7/8-inch hardline) on the Europe side of
the Europe-blocking ridge, to take advantage of the early openings and the
weaker signals on the high bands. The antenna switching scheme at the
station positions has been expanded to allow configuration to allow the
use of any antenna at any of the four stations. All four stations now
have full-power amplifiers. The AC power regulation at each station is
being improved.
Everyone receiving this email has operated with us at PJ2T at least once,
and we'd like to have you with us again!
