[CVCC] Field Day

Hello Everyone   

This is going out to the CVCC email list and to others who have indicated an interest in joining us for the field day activities.  Field Day is June 23 - 24.  On air from 2:00 PM Saturday until 5 PM Sunday.  Setup starts at 8 AM Saturday.

The list below is a summary of committed field day operators and potential operators as of 5/16/07.  What is needed at this time is for everyone to complete the data for themselves by indicating their preferences, especially when they will be available to operate.  After everyone who can join us has indicated their availability, Field Day planners will sit down and try to organize a schedule which will be sent to all participants well ahead of time.  Thanks to Ralph we will have several stations on air and our goal is to fully man all stations, and where possible provide mentoring of young or inexperienced operators by scheduling them to work along side a more experienced operator.  This is why we need data in the CW, Phone, Experience and Skill columns.  So please rate yourself.  Others can be added to the list.  So if you know of anyone who you think might enjoy participating, please let me know and we can add them to the list.  

The Goochland Fire Department will offer wholesome firehouse food to us Saturday evening for around $7.  Please let me know in your response if you will join us in taking advantage of the offer.  The fire department needs a head count.  

I will have a copy of this list at the Picnic Saturday and you can update your data and commitment at that time.  If you are not going to the picnic, please email me as soon as possible with your data and your time commitment.  Since there will be an organizing meeting Tuesday evening next week, I need your input no later than Tuesday afternoon.
