I received this from John, K4BAI. Rather than rewrite his information I just cut and pasted it here. This is a fun little 160M contest. I'll be in there as much as possible and hopefully run across the two remaining states I don't have confirmed on 160 and perhaps a new country or two.
73 & HNY,
Puck, W4PM
Hello all:
Hope many of you will be QRV on 160M CW in the this weekend. It runs from 15Z Sat to 15Z Sunday and
you may operate up to 14 hours. Off times must be at least one hour and
there may be up to four of them. Exchange is your four-digit grid
square, such as EM73.
I will be QRV from the super station of W8JI single operator using the
South East Contest Club call, W4AN, which is the call of my deceased
WRTC partner and FOC member, Bill Fisher. So, any contacts with W4AN
this weekend will count as Windles with K4BAI. For the Canadians, up
until 2359Z Sat, I will be prepared to give you a RST and serial # for
the RAC Winter Contest and you should give me RST, province, plus grid
square.
Hope conditions will be good for this event. There have been several
nights this week when conditions on 160M were exceptional. Tom, W8JI,
has very good transmit and receive antennas, so give me a call and keep
calling until I find the right antenna to listen on. Of course, I will
be listening toward Europe whenever we have propagation that way, but
also will be switching to other directions occasionally.
Use of packet spots is not permitted for persons submitting scores in
this contest.
Happy New Year to all. 161, John, K4BAI, FOC 1121
