Just in time for this weekend...

I am pleased to officially announce the 2006 Sweepstakes awards program -
based on the 'live wire" awards from previous years.

There is something for everyone in these awards - certificates for "staying
in the chair" - for turning in the best score, etc.

Also - we have the coveted "Top Gun" mugs that we are going to give out at
the Holiday party dinner this year.  Motivation by these simple mugs has
been known to take contesters who hate SSB and get then to operate, because
"I had to get that mug!".  All you need to do is turn in more than 250,000
points in both modes combined.

Thanks to Tom, NI1N for handling the Sweepstakes and Hot Operator Awards
coming up.

Sweepstakes - 2006 Competition

Recognition & Competition:
  The PVRC "Live Wire" Awards


I. Recognition

PVRC First Time Contributor Award - Certificate to every member who enters
SS (either mode) for the first time in 2006 (based on 5 Million records),
provided they operate for at least 4 hours.

PVRC Live Wire Award - Certificate with endorsement levels (sticker), based
on operating time:
Silver - 12 hours (one or both modes)
Gold - 24 hours (one or both modes)
Platinum - 36 hours
Diamond - 48 hours

PVRC Top Gun Award - Mug with club logo for combined SS contribution of
250,000 points or more in 2006

II. Competition

Top Regional Score, CW and SSB - Certificates to the highest-scoring single
operators in each mode in each region, whether pure single-op or unlimited.

Top Regional Single Op Unassisted Score, CW and SSB - Certificates, awarded
to the next placing entry in the event that the top regional score in either
mode was unassisted.

Top Regional Single Op Unlimited Score, CW and SSB - Certificates, on the
same basis as immediately above.
