It has been several years since I've been to the Dayton Convention. It was great fun. Saw lots of the "ole guys", tried to cover the 10 acres of flee market ( not possible ) , saw most of the exhibitors inside, and attend a few of the symposiums.

Roomed with N4OO who is one of my old buddies from the Golden Triangle DX Club, circa 1965. Saw Sejo after the contest Dinner Saturday evening and we agreed to go up to the W3LPL open house PVRC meeting on the 16th of June.

Sat with KC1XX and others that I did not know at the Contest Dinner Saturday night. Early in the evening John Dorr ( the MC ) tried to find the guy at the dinner who had been contesting longer than all the others. One guy there participated in his first contest in 1948 and that beat my 1952, but I was chuckling to myself the next morning and thinking that I've been at it long enough because I've heard guys at DX multies say off to the side "It's himself" and have had others add "sir" after the 59 report.

I still enjoy the excitement of the competition.
