Subject: [VHF] C3i Closes Its Doors

I have learned that C3i suspended orders as of yesterday. Sam and Owen
are stepping aside and the business is for sale. Some of you may recall
that C3i grew out of Tom Rutland's venerable antenna enterprise. When
Tom died, it was sold to another fellow who passed away soon after. Sam
and Owen then got it and started making antennas! All of my antennas
came from either Tom or Sam/Owen. They did have the interests of the
V/U operator at heart and had the experience to back it up, i.e., The
Grid Pirates, K8GP.

I have known both of them personally since my days in WDC. I wish them
both the best of luck!!!!!!
