Subject: [VHF] "Suitsat" almost ready to deploy

Soon the ISS crew will deploy an unusual Amateur Satellite...

Tentatively scheduled for Feb 2nd 2006, An old russian space suit will get
stuffed with a radio, batteries, CCD camera, antenna, and control box. Once
assemled and tested "SuitSat" will be pushed out an airlock where they guess
it should orbit the Earth for 6 weeks before burning up.

With only internal batteries (and no solar panel) its expected life span
will be rather short.

Visit http://www.amsat.org/amsat-new/index.php for the most recent info.

Whoever thought this up was a genius, I love it!
