The regular monthly meeting of the Central Virginia Contest Club was called

working the 3Y0X dxpedition.
Ed extended well-deserved congratulations to Dr. Bob Eshleman, W4DR, for
claiming the DeSoto Cup for the sixth straight year. He is so far the ONLY
person worldwide to win this trophy awarded to the person with the highest
aggregate band entity total. W4DR has 3095 band entities on record and
several more to submit.
Congratulations also go to Bob Morris, W4MYA for making approximately 1500
contacts in the CQ 160-Meter CW contest. Kudos also to Jonathan, Payne.

5,000,000 points.

Upcoming contests include the CQ160-Meter Phone Feb. 25 and the ARRL DX SSB
March 4 - 5.

PVRC is offering free web space to members. They have several templates
available to create your own page.

Club officer nominations are next month. The current slate is not running.
Contact Ed if interested.

Bob, NK4H, reported a balance of $712.50 at the end of January with several
members still to pay.

for the cluster. He has done some computer repair and installed a new Intel
chip and XP and it is currently working. A new feature is the ability to
check the Logbook of the World. A plus sign in the comment field indicates
the reported station is in the Logbook of the World. Dennis also needs a
1270C or B.

Send submissions to W4DR for your DX; other submissions to John, W4TNX no
later than the Friday before the meeting.

Dennis, N4DEN made a motion, to sponsor a plaque for the VA QSO Party if
one is a available. Motion seconded by Jerry, K4KJL. Motion carried.

There was discussion about an updated club roster and what if anything
should be put on the website. Dennis, N4DEN, will pull together an Excel
spreadsheet and distribute via email and have copies to pick up at the
meeting. The Club Roster will be made up of 2005 paid members as well as
those paid thus far in 2006.

Walt, K2WK, was unanimously voted into membership. Welcome, Walt.

The program for the evening was a Show and Tell.
