Well all good things have to come to a end, I'm sitting here awaiting my
3:57PM flight back to the states. I'll get to Richmond about 11:30PM and
hope to be home in Farmville around 1:00AM. It has been a wonderful time
at Signal Point (PJ2T) on Curacao, the contest was a blast, you should see
our score posted in the next couple days, however HC8N beat us all of the
stations preformed without to much trouble. Before the contest we lost
electric for about 2 hours and after it was restored the line voltage was
around 105 volts throughout the contest. The 10 meter signal had a rough
tone but we had to go with it in hopes voltage would restore to normal.
Rough score was 30.1 million points, just over 12,000 contacts. Out of all
people here I had the best hours of the contest, 193 and 204 an hour on
Saturday afternoon. Not bad for a QRP guy huh? I would have never believed
it knowing some of the operators that were here but I'm proud of the fact
everyone put forth their best efforts. This was the first Multi-Multi
operation for PJ2T and we learned a lot and improvements are already being
setup for upcoming contest. Well got to go, we're leaving for the airport.
See ya soon!
