Subject: Tower available
Bob,
My father, John Offerman, KI4QL, has a 65-ft tower that WAS mounted on an
insulator. The insulator broke recently and the tower is sitting on the
ground, leaning a few degrees. So we have decided it's time for it to go.
I am meeting with a man from a tower company tomorrow morning to discuss
options about bringing it down. Hoping to be more delicate than just
letting it drop.
I would like to list it/advertise it within the region but I'm not sure how
to do a posting or where. I will list it on the Traders' Net this week.
Would you mind helping me get the word out? I'll try to get the info below
so it can be copied and pasted. Any questions, just let me know. Or, if
you prefer perhaps you would advise where I can post??
Thanks for your help.
Marie

65-ft tower available for the taking.
This is a heavy construction guyed tower that is itself an antenna.
Tower has been painted and seems to be in very good condition -- no rust
that I know of. Tower was mounted on an insulator that recently broke. It
is now unstable and cannot be climbed. I believe that it is made of
approximately 10-ft sections. Location is in eastern Henrico County.
