Hi all,

Based on the early returns, it looks like NU1AW/4 came out on top in the
IARU contest for the USA!

W1AW/5:        32,781 QSO Points X 311 Mults = 10,194,891 Points

NU1AW/4:      28,513 QSO Points X 380 Mults = 10,884,408 Points

It makes sense that 5-land would get more QSOs with conditions down, since
they are in the geographic center of the huge USA ham population. It also
makes sense that NU1AW/4 got more multipliers, since we are closer to all
the Euro mults. Thank goodness for all those multipliers!!

Congratulations to the station owners, Bob (W4MYA) and Paul (K4JA), all the
operators, and those who helped by giving out some QSOs. Conditions were
rotten, but with all of the bragging coming out of 5-land, I think we more
than held our own!
