Hi Guys (and Becky, too),

I know there are a few QRP gluttons for punishment out there, so maybe this
isn't worthless info for this list. I just noticed that Small Wonder Labs
(SWL) is taking orders for a 1/2 watt rock-bound 40 meter (7040) QRP
transciever. The SWL (not to be confused with "Short Wave Listener") rigs
are usually FB quality and if you are looking for a rainy day project this
could be it. Dave (K1SWL, I think) says it is an evening project. No
enclosure is provided, but it is 2" X 2.5" and would fit in an Altoids can.
It is 1/2 watt at 12 volts, but will operate down to 8 volts (9v battery
will work). In any event for $25, you can't go too far wrong for a
transciever with a built in paddle keyer adjustable up to 40 WPM.

You may be amazed with what you can work QRP on 40 meters! With sunspots
heading south, a new "mode" (QRP) may be a challenge!
