SARA is currently investigating the possibility of setting up a club station that is accessible via remote control to club members, and weare considering multiple configuration options.
Two club members are willing to pledge their Icom 7300 rigs for "proof of concept" experimentation, and we are soliciting 
opinions on the Icom remote control software that is compatible with it.
It does strike me that it's probably the easiest remote control scenario to start with for getting the project off the ground.

Does anyone have experience using the Icom 7300 with it's dedicated remote control software?
If so, what do you think of it?
Also, can anyone tell us if that same remote control software is compatible with the Icom 7610, or do you use a different version of that software?

FYI the Westport Astronomical society (with amateur station K1WAS) purchased 
an MFJ-1234  Rig Pi for remoting a rig. They are in the process of 
experimenting with a few rigs, including the IC-7300.  Not sure how far 
along they are with their efforts.  The primary advantage of it over Icom's 
remote control software is that it is rig independent.  Cost $319.95.

I have been authorized to handle the sale of Gus Hedlund's ham radio equipment.
Gus's wife, Patricia, sends her greetings and best wishes to all, and also thanks both clubs and their members for their expressions ofsympathy when Gus passed away.

However, she is currently immersed in multiple projects, and has respectfully requested that no one contact her directly regarding the itemsfor sale.? At her request, anyone attempting to do so will be black-listed from purchasing any of the equipment.
Gus was very meticulous with his ham gear, and the condition of all the equipment and associated asking prices reflect that.

The attached file lists the big-ticket items available for sale, we will list the smaller items and accessories in subsequent emails.
Asking prices are based upon extensive research of current selling prices that would facilitate a quick sale, so they should be considered as firm.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the items, you should contact me immediately, because we will be taking whatever remains unsold by theend of the week to the Nutmeg Hamfest next Sunday, up in Meriden.
Terms are as follows:
All purchases are cash and carry.
The prices listed are for SARA and GNARC members in good standing only (i.e. they've paid their dues!), non-members will incur a $25 surchargeabove the listed price. (Hint, that's based on the current dues for SARA members, so you might as well join...)

No bottom cover, no coils, nospeaker, no power supply. $355. When you get the receivers going, I have a CRR-70428 (LM/BC-221)heterodyne frequency meter with s/n matched calibration book. This isunusual in that it comes with an original 115 Vac power supply and cables.Works perfectly and looks good. Covers 125 kc and up with harmonics. Greatfor transmitter or receiver calibration. $75 6. A bit more of a stretch, but I also have a Hallicrafters TO electronickeyer from the mid 50s. I have recently befriended a new ham who lives over in Greenwich, and is currently using an HT.

He is looking to buy a used mobile VHF rig so he can reliably reach local repeaters, and could probably usea mobile mag mount antenna as well.
He could probably make due with a 2M rig, but if anyone has a 2M/440 rig available, he might consider that as well.
