Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 when clocks should be turned back one hour.

Firefighters recommend changing the batteries in both your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

  *    Two U.S. states, Hawaii and Arizona, do not abide by daylight savings time.
  *    Daylight Saving Time is the brainchild of Benjamin Franklin, who figured using daylight more efficiently would safe candles.
  *    The current timetable for daylight savings time was set on Aug. 8, 2005, when President George W. Bush signed the Energy Policy Act. During the prior 20 years, daylight savings time began on the first Sunday in April and ended on the last Sunday in October.
  *    It's Daylight Saving Time - not Daylight Savings Time.

Everyone
Our plan is to launch another monkey balloon this Saturday 
morning Nov 23 from the Discovery Museum.
(dependent upon weather of course).? This launch is open 
to the public, and the media has been invited!
?
We are in need of hams with cars, HT?s and hopefully APRS to 
help with recovery, should the balloon land on land.? 
If it splashes down, the recovery will hopefully be handled 
by the Coast Guard.
?
If you would like to volunteer for land recovery, then please 
show up at the museum that morning.
We will begin at 8 am and our checklists, etc take about 1 to 
1.5 hours to launch.
If you show up anytime before launch, you can watch the 
testing and liftoff too!
?
So that we can plan, please RSVP if you can show and assist 
with recovery.
