Good morning, afternoon or evening,
 
It is very likely the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Emergency Communications Division (formerly Office of Emergency Communications-OEC)  will be conducting two Auxiliary Communications (AUXCOM) Training Classes in the
 State of Connecticut. This class is designed for auxiliary communicators and groups who volunteer to provide back up radio communications  support to public safety agencies.  
 
The classes will be held all day on a Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend.

 
Each class requires a minimum of 15 qualified students.  

 
The prerequisites in order to register for and take this course are:
 
An active FCC amateur radio license
Past experience in auxiliary emergency communications 
An affiliation with the public safety agency
A desire to work with COMLs and COMTs in a NIMS/ICS environment
 
FEMA On-Line training required
IS-100, Introduction to the ICS 
IS-200, ICS for the single Resources and Initial Incidents 

IS-700, National Incident Management System, (NIMS) an Introduction
IS-800, National Response Framework, (NRF)
 
Please determine the potential number of students which will meet the prerequisites and may be interested in this training.
