The Twenty-Sixth Annual Nutmeg Hamfest will take place on

Sunday, October 21st, 2018

Southern New England's Biggest and Best Hamfest!



Where:  The Sheraton 4-Points Hotel, 275 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT.

When:  Vendor Setup and Tailgating at 6AM.  Exhibits open at 8AM

What:  New and Used Ham Radios, Accessories, Electronics, Surplus, etc. Interesting Forums and Displays; VE Testing, Connecticut State ARRL Convention, and much more.

Who:  Back by popular demand: The famous Go-Kit Competition.  All day in the main exhibit hall.  If you've built one, come show it off.  If you're thinking of building one, you'll get some great ideas and suggestions from experienced constructors.  Either way, it's a lot of fun and you don't want to miss it!!  The irrepressible Douglas, WA1SHF welcomes you to participate.



9:00-9:45 AM: ARRL Section Meeting with Connecticut Section Manager Chuck Motes, K1DFS; NE Division Director Tom Frenaye, K1KI, and Vice-Director Mike Raisbeck, K1TWF



10:00-10:45AM:  Software Defined Radios.  Dr. Martin Ewing, AA6E, explains SDRs.  The next generation of radios is here.  What's out now, and what's coming next?  Come and find out!



11:00-11:45AM:  Change may be coming to entry level licensing.  Bruce Blain, K1BG has a great perspective on what has worked, and what hasn't.  How, and where, do we entice the next generation of Hams?



All-Day event:  You've got computer questions? The experts at RVI Computers have the answers.  Bring your toughest question to them and get the right answers from real professionals.



Why:  New equipment and accessories, loads of tailgating, informational displays, bargains galore, old and new friends.
