[CTSARA] Thanks to Bloomin Metric Hams

On Sunday May 20, 24 hams from GNARC, SARA, GFARA (and at least one
independent) provided communications for the Bloomin Metric Bike Ride.  Our
hams provide communications from the SAG vehicles (Support And Gear) as
well as from their own vehicles which they use to patrol the four routes
(in addition to the SAG vehicles).  This year saw close to 1700 bike riders
and was a busy year with a relatively large number of minor problems (such
as flat tires) due to this week's rain, ride-ending problems such as broken
bicycle chains and broken spokes, and a major problem of riders falling and
being injured on a bridge along the route (again due to the rain),   All in
all, our hams were involved in over 50 responses to rider calls for
assistance and provided transportation for just under 19 riders who were
not able to complete their rides.
