The Boy Scouts NEED YOU!

With just 1 week to go, it is time to register to “Share The Magic” of our wonderful hobby with about 4 Thousand BSA Scouts (Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Scouts and Explorer Scouts) who will be spending the weekend of May 11-13 in the town of ORANGE, CT.

Remember: These boys will be the next generation of Hams… if we share the hobby with them and their Adult Scout Leaders.

What: ConnJam 2018 (BSA Connecticut Yankee Council Jamboree 2018)

Date: Saturday, May 12

QTH: Orange, CT

Hours of Operation: 9 am – 4 pm

(Full Day and AM/PM Shifts available)

Be a part of ConnJam 2018

- This event takes place once every 3 years, and we had a great time at ConnJam 2015.

The “Plan” for this year is to provide 5 unique Amateur Radio Activities (and an information table) at this event to engage Scouts different aspects of the hobby.

BUT… to make this Plan work… WE NEED YOUR HELP.

The “5 Plus 1” Plan

1. ARDF (Amateur Radio Direction Finding) for Cub Scouts

2. ConnJam 2018 Message Center (NTS Radiograms)

3. Digital/Data Communications (Hands-On)

4. Get On The Air (GOTA) Radio Stations

5. Morse Code Tent (Teach Scouts learn to send their name in CW)

And…
6. Amateur Radio Information Table
- Engaging Visitors by talking about the hobby you love, handing out Literature, and logging visitor contact information for later follow-up.
