Some of them haven?t started yet?

 

The state of CT lists this one (my wife says it?s not very good):

Word of mouth says the one in Westport (down the back street from the library) is supposed to be fantastic.

However, my wife?s favorite is Saturday mornings (starting this week??) at the Congregational church by the Norwalk Green.  There is a sign, but I can?t recall the specifics. I recall something like 9a -12n.

FYI there is a farmer?s market in Westport on Thursdays from 10-2 just around the corner from the Westport Library.  You go up the hill past the lower parking lot and upper parking lot. Go as far as you can and take a right turn on Imperial Avenue.  The farmer?s market is a short distance away, in the lot at 50 Imperial Avenue. Alternately, you can go to the upper level of the Westport Library parling lot and park close to the Levitt Pavilion, then walk down the steps on your left, facing the Levitt Pavilion, and that will take you directly into the farmer?s market.

Just a reminder to keep August 12th, mid day, open on your calendar for the
annual GNARC summer picnic.  Lyz, W1LYZ,  has graciously allowed us to use
her QTH as the site for the picnic.  It is at 25 Friendlee Lane in Wilton.

We will have a raffle of course, plenty of room for tail-gating if you want
to bring items to sell. There will be an antenna launcher competition of
some sorts, so if you have one, bring it! If you have a portable/qrp radio,
bring that too, we can setup a temporary station.

 

The club will provide the basics (hamburgers, hot dogs, soda) and members
will be asked to bring side dishes and desserts. In the past we have had a
great assortment of things that members brought, thank you! Always tons of
good food. If you want something stronger than soda, please bring it.

 

Toy has asked me to put up a list online, so people can sign up to bring
various food items. That way we don't get 5 of the same thing! This will go
out soon.

Good morning! The picnic is getting close! A little under 2 weeks away. Toy
has created a food sign up sheet, which you can use to help  us feed the
hungry hams.  Of course, if you have a special item you'd like to bring, by
all means do so. This list just covers the basics of things we usually have
at the picnic. If you look at the bottom, there is an "other" where you can
indicate what you are bringing.
