Interesting, thanks for the share.
To note, when looking into this. The manufacturer reports that there are a lot of knockoff boards out there and describes how to ensure you get an official kit.

If you need an oscilloscope, Tom K1TA has found and fun and inexpensive kit
that works rather well.

Subject: GNARC Message: DSO-138 Oscilloscope Kit
To: GNARC <gnarc at googlegroups.com>
To ALL GNARC Members and friends:
Since Paul Danzer's presentation last month on Kit Building , I purchased
the JYETech DSO-138 Oscilloscope Kit which included a plexiglass case.
*The kit cost me $23.00 on eBay including shipping. *
Over the past week I assembled and tested the unit. So here goes...
*Features:*
• Easy to solder.
• Highest real-time sampling rate : 1Msps
• Accuracy : 12Bit
• Sampling buffer depth : 1024 bytes
• Analog bandwidth : 0 - 200KHz
• Vertical sensitivity : 10mV / Div - 5V / Div ( 1-2-5 progressive manner )
• Adjustable vertical displacement , and with instructions
• Input impedance : 1MΩ
• Maximum input voltage : 50Vpp (1: 1 probe ), 400Vpp (10: 1 probe )
• Coupling modes include DC / AC / GND
• Horizontal time base range : 10μs / Div - 5s / Div ( 1-2-5 progressive
manner )
• With automatic , conventional and single -shot mode , easy waveform
capture the moment
• Available rising or falling edge trigger
• Adjustable trigger level position , and with instructions
• Observable trigger waveform before ( negative delay )
• Can always freeze the waveform display (HOLD function )
• Comes 1Hz /3.3V square wave test signal source
*My observation: *
1. The instructions supplied were in Black and White and looked like they
had been copied 1000 times. So I had to go online and downloaded and
printed a color copy.
2. I am getting old and I was unable to see the colors on the 1/8 watt
resistors so I ended up testing each of them with an ohm meter and putting
them in piles.
3. The kit was easy to put together and solder even with my old eyes BUT I
recommend using a magnification light ring for us older hams.
4. While it came with a plexiglass case, the tolerances on the slots and
flaps is NOT great. As you can see, I tried to trim down some of the
pieces and ended up breaking several of the of the slots. I was a little
upset with myself but it doesn't hamper the performance of the scope, only
injured my ego.
5. The plexiglass case come with 10 very odd shaped pieces *AND NO
INSTRUCTIONS!* So like any good ham, I looked on Youtube and was fortunate
enough to find some other schlub who figured it out and made a video on how
to put it together.
6. I think it took me about 6 hours to put it together and test although
that includes a lot of time scratching my head trying to figure out what
they wanted me to do.
In any event, the kit was fun to build and is available on eBay and on
Amazon. Or for just a few more dollars you can get one pre-built (but what
fun is that?).
73 and good building to all !
