[CTSARA] FCC PETITION

If you change your call, sign, you should have a valid reason for doing so.  If one is on  a drunk rampage and changes ones call sign too bad.
Once every 10 years is enough. If you change your name, you have to go to a judge. In our Ham community, it should not be on a whim, or to gain power by hoarding call signs.

If we bug the FCC too much, they will see that there is a cost to this mania.

I am not sure what the best way to handle this is, but in my opinion you should only be able to fall back on a previous callsign ONCE in the first 2 years and only once in ten years.

This is a real head scratcher...
