Perfect reason to change the venue to Bar Taco for brain grenade margaritas....
BTW, at the last minute I bit the bullet and purchased the Yaesu FTM400xdr. I know it's way too much radio for around here but for an extra $100 I am able to explore this APRS and some other very cool features. Who knows their Fusion might catch on...wishful thinking? They practically give away their digital Yaesu repeaters.

I installed the radio yesterday with the help of a friend. Now I will spend some time fiddling around with it. Will keep you posted and hope to see you tomorrow night. J. John Lucarelli

The SARA May meeting will be this coming Thursday (May 5) at 8pm in the 6th
Floor Safety Training Room of Stamford Government Center (888 Washington
Blvd) in Stamford.

Our topic for this meeting is low power (QRP) HF operations, including a
review of the latest in QRP equipment, QRP best operating practices, and
antennas for portable QRP operations.  If you have any plans for vacation
travel this summer, or just want to get to a park or beach, this could be a
very useful presentation for you.

Pizza at 6:15pm at John The Baker 30 Long Ridge Road in Bulls Head.

And yes, it is Cinqo de Mayo, but no we won't be having beer or sangria
(not allowed in Government Center).
