GFARA Meeting April 4th 7:30 Fairfield Police Station
Mike Corey KI1U from the ARRL will be our speaker. He will discuss
Emergency Communication for Public Service and activities involving the
ARRL. If you volunteer for Public Service events or are interested in ARES,
Skywarn, CERT,or other organizations that support disaster relief Mike’s
knowledge andexperience will be of interest to you.

Mike Corey, KI1U, joined the ARRL HQ staff in April 2010 as Emergency
Preparedness Manager. Prior to joining League staff he worked in law
enforcement in Indiana and Mississippi. He has also served as an emergency
management volunteer,disaster response volunteer, reserve police officer,
law enforcement academy and public safety instructor, and on emergency
operations center staff. Mike,along with Vic Morris, AH6WX, is the author
of the ARRL publication StormSpotting and Amateur Radio. More of Mike’s
