As a reminder, the CT ARES Simulated Emergency Test (SET) is today. We are
simulating a hurricane strike by a powerful hurricane that knocks out
landline, internet, and cell phone.

In Region 1, we will be actively participating Saturday morning. Stamford
local nets will run on the *ODD HOURS* starting at 0900, 1100, 1300 for
about 1/2 hour each on Saturday. Steve, KB1YLQ, is net control for
Stamford. All you need to do is check into the net. Steve will be
monitoring the New Canaan 2 meter repeater* and DMR on Stamford CT TAC 1.

Some locations in the state will be operating additional nets at 1500 on
Saturday and 0900, 1100 on Sunday. You are of course welcome to continue
all weekend and check into nets.

We will not be doing Skywarn or formal NTS nets this time. If any of you
are Winlink capable, you are encouraged to send messages.

CT ARES will also have a formal HF Net running on 3.965 MHz and/or 7.280
MHz at about 0815, 1015, 1215, 1415, 1615 on Saturday and 0815, 1015, 1215 on
Sunday. They will first try 3.965 but if propagation doesn't support it,
they will move to 7.280.

Please log any contacts you have and any messages you sent and send the log
to me after the exercise.
