If any of you are planning on going to Boxboro this year (Aug 21-23), some
information for you about education opportunities.
Boxboro is the ARRL New England Convention/Hamfest in Boxborough MA.

The Boxboro Convention committee is pleased to announce three significant
training
opportunities at this year's convention. Please feel free to share this
information
with someone who may be interested. There is no charge for any of these
programs
and a general admission ticket is not required to attend them. A ticket is
still required
if you wish to visit the full convention activities.
FRIDAY August 21
Gordon West's "Instructor Academy" 9AM-12PM
This three hour program will help ham radio class instructors make the best
of their
class. Material and preregistration information at

ARES Training by Rob Macedo 1PM-5PM
A class for people interested in being part of the Amateur Radio Emergency
Service,
or would like a refresher.
SATURDAY August 22 9AM-5PM
"Tech-in-a-Day" course: The Cape Ann Amateur Radio Association will be
sponsoring
this one-day event. Intended for those that have done pre-study, the
course will reinforce
your knowledge of the Technician Exam questions. A special VE exam for
course
attendees will be held at the end of the day. Registration info at
