Hi all,

I just found out that on April 2, 2014 at 8pm the Greater Fairfield Amateur
Radio Association is having Joel Hallas, W1ZR, as their speaker. Many of us
know Joel as the recently retired Technical Editor of QST and author of the
monthly QST column "The Doctor is In". In case you don't know him, Joel has
written more than 150 articles for QST and authored a half dozen books on
technical topics of interest to amateurs. His most recent book is
"Understanding Your Antenna Analyzer". His presentation will describe
antenna analyzers, what they do and how to use them.

If any of you attended the presentation given at the GNARC meeting not too
long ago where he talked about a novel twin lead antenna design you know
how interesting and engaging his talks are. I know that quite a few of us
built versions of his antenna after the talk.

I hope to see everyone there. For more info you can visit www.gfara.com.

On a completely unrelated note, the weekly ragchew net for April 2 has been
canceled. Would anyone object to having the net on Monday, Thursday, or
Friday of that week?

73,
Sam
