The net is on for Tuesday 3/11 at 8pm. Norwalk 2m repeater, 146.475 up 1 pl 100. Echolink is at node N1EV-R.

This week we will be discussing the ICS form 205. As CERTS learned in their training, all significant incidents are managed by the Incident Command System (ICS). http://www.fema.gov/incident-command-system

Jon, WB2RYV,  and I will explain the form and how it is used.

Hams who are not CERT trained should consider taking several of the FEMA self study courses if they ever plan to be in a command center. Many towns now require it. You can search the FEMA web site for details. We will discuss this on a future net.

However, for this week, we will show and discuss a filled in form 205, which specifies a communications plan for an event. It is used for planned events (like this example), and is created during actual emergencies as well.

Please see this link for the form we will be discussing. If you have trouble, contact me DIRECTLY and I will send you a copy. It is a PDF.
