[CTSARA] CERT/ARES Net - Tuesday 4/29

The net is on.

 

We are going to do the simplex test AGAIN. This turned out to be a very
interesting test, so I would like to try it again. Thus the net will be on
146.52 for the start. Please make sure you are on simplex and have your
squelch wide open to hear weak stations (Baofeng users, use menu 0 to set
squelch, there is no knob! But it does not change that much).

 

We will start checkins at 8:00 pm as usual. However, this time, please WAIT
till you hear a call for checkins.

 

I hope to get Tom (K1TA), Jay (NE2Q), Dee (N1ZD) and Sam (NV1P) to act as
relays. So if they are able to join the net, I will have each of them take
checkins in turn.

 

Between myself and these three, we should be able to get most people.

 

We will meet back up on the repeater around 8:20. Norwalk 2m 146.475

 

For those that only have an HT or low power radio, try to listen for a relay
in your own town, or just another station you can hear and relay yourself in
if possible.

 

I may try a higher location for myself, just to see if there is a difference
from last week.
