[CTSARA] Fwd: [CT ARES Discussion] INFO: TOMORROW - NVIS NVIS NVIS

At least a couple of us are going to participate. This should be a fun and
interesting - albeit different - challenge than the typical DX contest.

SARA and GBARC have been practicing HF NVIS communications between
Stamford, Darien, and Bridgeport on behalf of Red Cross for about a year
now because (a) Stamford/Darien can't hit Bridgeport Red Cross via VHF/UHF
simplex, (b) the Bridgeport repeater might be overloaded for local
Bridgeport traffic during an emergency, and (c) the ARES packet and linked
repeater systems just don't cut it for communications across Region One (we
know because we test it regularly).
