Doug Sharafanowich in Region 2 has come up with a fun idea to try out
NVIS antennas -- an NVIS Antenna challenge!!

I'm going to participate using my Buddipole and possibly one other
antenna that I hope to build between now and then. Basically, the
concept is a low horizontal antenna about 0.1 or 0.2 wavelength above
ground (based on the band selected).

Hi Everybody,

QUESTION:

What do you do when repeaters fail, and 144/440 Simplex just won’t go
the distance?

ANSWER:

Use your HF Near Vertical Incident System (NVIS) Antenna, of course!
