[CTSARA] Operators Needed For Cystic Fibrosis Oct 7

It's just under two weeks to the Cystic Fibrosis ride (Sun Oct 7 at
Luciano Park in Westport).  \

Toy and I really need to firm up who we have for support.  We need
three (possibly four) people to be mobile IN EVENT VEHICLES -- that
means a 25+ watt mobile station with an external antenna that can be
deployed to an event vehicle!!!  This ride goes up through Ridgefield
and we are going to have to use the Danbury repeater for the north end
of the route (with Norwalk repeater being used for the rest of the
route).

We will also need three people for rest stops.  One of them is located
down in Southport, one on Burr Street in Fairfield, and one up in
Weston.  Weston definitely needs a 25+ watt with decent antenna (a car
mounted rig with external antenna should suffice), the Fairfield one
usually needs something that's a bit more than just an HT, and
Southport can usually get away with an HT.

And, of course, we'll need a few people as backups, at net control, etc.

Please contact me as soon as possible.  A few people have told us
(either Toy or me) that they'll participate -- please do us a favor
and respond again to this email to confirm that you're still in.

P.S.  Yes, this is the same day as Nutmeg Hamfest.  Bummer, but
please.  They've increased the number of riders as a result of the
great job we did last year.
