Just a quick note which I'll expand upon later

Cell, landline, internet service to the shelters and Govt Center are up and
running and all public service communications are up and running, so for
now we're not staffing any hams. Those hams who are in CERT will be used
for CERT duties, many of which will involve communications (but not
necessarily ham radio). Except for Tina (CERT - KB1UOB) who has now been
appointed the scrounger-in-chief for having magically come up with coffee
for the 450 people in the Stamford High School shelter on the spur of the
moment this morning.

Before and during the storm we had various club members deployed for
communications duties, including Chris (CERT- KB1QXR), Andrew (CERT -
KB3CZA), Jonathan (W3EIC), and the lonesomest of lonesome cowboys AT (KK1R)
who did a 24 hour shift at the Red Cross office in Darien (much of it by
himself).

Club member Donna (CERT - KB1TGW) did a shift at the Stamford High shelter
doing intake during the height of the Shippan evacuations (250+ people in a
few hours), and Terry (W1TSM) was at Govt Center handling Citizen Service
Line calls.

We also had a number of other club members lined up to cover shifts but
were unable to deploy them when the City ordered that no one be permitted
out due to the storm, downed power wires, falling trees, and flooding.
I'll have to name them in a follow-up email because I left that list up at
Govt Center, but I remember it included Jeanine, Georgi, and Tom (Agoston)
whose calls I don't have handy. There were a few others and I will get
your names out later.

We also had offers of assistance from non-club members. One I remember
was John (W1AMF). Again I'll get that list out later.

During the storm various political figures made their way around Govt
Center and either the Mayor or Captain Lombardo were always careful to
introduce them to the " ... president of the Stamford Amateur Radio club,
which has a lot of people out in the field providing communications support
...". The political figures included the president of the Board of Reps, a
couple of the other reps, and U.S. Senator Blumenthal.

Gotta run, I'll get the updates out later.
